Complimentary Sake | Year-End & New Year Opening Hours
IMAMI will remain open throughout the year-end and New Year period, welcoming our guests without pause.
As in previous years, we are pleased to offer complimentary sake at our storefront on 1 and 2 January, to mark the opening of the New Year.
The sake served on this occasion is known as Omiki—a sacred offering traditionally presented to the deities.
It is shared to symbolically purify the body and spirit at the threshold of a new beginning, to express gratitude, and to partake in the blessings believed to be bestowed by the gods. For this reason, omiki is sometimes offered to visitors during the first shrine visit of the year.
For this New Year, IMAMI is honoured to serve as our complimentary sake the Tatenokawa Junmai Daiginjo 2026 “Horse” Zodiac Bottle, a release that once again sold out swiftly at the brewery.
Delicate fruit notes and Tatenokawa’s hallmark clarity lead to a poised, dignified finish—an expression well suited to welcoming the year ahead.
A strictly limited allocation of 24 bottles is also available for purchase in store.
As an auspicious sake believed to invite good fortune, we invite you to enjoy it with family and those close to you.
To mark the beginning of a new year, IMAMI presents a considered selection of bottles and sake vessels, each chosen to bring quiet elegance to the season.
We look forward to welcoming you.
